Our company was founded by Julie. She married her high school sweetheart when they were 20 and 3 years later they welcomed their first little boy into the world. That was many years ago and when he was born 10 weeks prematurely and spent 2 months in the NICU, she began to search for a baby book-journal-something! to write down her thoughts and his milestones. Unable to find anything remotely her style, at the encouragement of her husband, she designed her own simply wanting to have something for herself to use. She started printing off copies from her home printer and making albums work as a baby book for shower gifts for friends and family and by God's grace, something began to flourish and Ruby Love was born.
Being a mom is an experience like no other. So many new cares and responsibilities, crazy emotions and deeper love than you simply cannot explain. The moments that you feel like you will never forget begin to be replaced with more and more moments that make your heart just want to burst. That first smile, their first word- of course those are important to remember... but she wanted to provide moms a place to not only record the big milestones, but also the beauty in the everyday life of your precious little one. Funny things they said, embarrassing stories from the newborn stage, and other precious moments. She wanted a beautiful space to write letters to your little one, reflections on each passing year- things that you never want to forget, but can be so hard to remember.
Her desire for Ruby Love was to provide a place for you. A sweet little place to help you remember. Mom brain is alive and well, we forget things! But there is something to be said for a handwritten baby book journaling your path through motherhood as a gift to your child and to yourself. We want you to remember the hard days, the long nights, the little victories that feel like impressive major accomplishments. Our Ruby Love baby book has plenty of space to pour out your heart and help you remember. There are prompts for the baby basics, but the heart of Ruby Love is you. Your family, your children, and your heart: giving to your children the gift of remembrance, something that we are so humbled to be a part of.
Julie decided she wanted to spend more time with her family, so she passed the company to us, the Zuniga family, to carry on her legacy and continue making beautiful handmade books to journal your precious memories. We’re a small family business that shares her love of children and want to continue providing that perfect space to preserve those fleeting memories that go so fast but mean so much. My name is Natalie, I'm the youngest member of the family and I take care of the day to day operations of the business with the support of my family. I have a passion for children, and love to take care of my baby niece and nephew.

I saw a baby book album that I loved, but it isn't in your shop anymore. Will I be able to purchase it in the future?
Sorry about that! We do sell out of some of our fabrics pretty quick but we are always trying to make each one available all the time. Typically, if a baby book cover is backordered, it takes about a month to have it ready to ship again.
SHIPPING
When I place my order, how long will it take for me to have it in my hands?
We try our absolute best to ship out your order as fast as we can! Typically, it takes us about a week to ship your order (We try to ship them within 2-4 days, but we are a small family business, so please understand we try our best to accommodate every order shipping as fast as we can!) and then you have to take transit time into account. We ship out of Southern California and we use USPS Priority Mail. For US orders, typically you can count on 1-3 days in transit (after our packing time). International orders typically arrive within 4-8 weeks of shipment.
Do you offer Rush Shipping?
We try to get your order shipped as soon as possible. Please send us an email if you need rush shipping and we can let you know the cost.
PAYMENT
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, Paypal and Google Checkout.
Do you charge Sales Tax?
We do. For orders shipped to California addresses, we charge a 9% sales tax.
Can I get a gift certificate?
Of course! You can purchase a gift certificate and can leave instructions on if you would prefer e-gift certificates, or a hard copy mailed to you.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
If you would like to return your baby book and get a refund, then Ruby Love must be notified (via Etsy convo or email to: rubylovebabyalbum@gmail.com) within one week of receiving your order. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Shipping costs will NOT be refunded. And return shipping is paid for by the buyer.
Please note we cannot refund cost for personalization as well. Thank you!
If there is a defect in our product, please notify us within a week or receiving your order via: rubylovebabyalbum@gmail.com and we will fix it! We want happy customers!
